Train Fun

I decided to have a little fun with my trains this evening. I had made what I call a train board a few years ago. It's just a simple 1x10, 6' long of white pine with 4 tracks made out of HO flex track mounted with 2 inch center to center spacing. I made it to use as a guide to see if my train cars roll easily and to make sure the couplers are at the correct height. I like to put train cars on it just to see what a rail yard would look like if I had a real layout. Just in case you are interested, these aren't all the train cars I have. Plus, none of my engines are on it. As soon as I get the one that was sent to the wrong place, I'll have 15 engines of various types. I just wanted to share some of what I do in my spare time with you. Till next time BYE!!

I like trains also, I remember when my cousin got a set of Lionel’s for Christmas when we were kids, as Jimmy Carter said, I lusted in my heart for that set of trains. Good post, what’s up with Barb, she still working on her site?

I agree. I love to see things in miniture...I don't know. Just something very cool about taking a massive "thing" and reproducing it to pint size. With all working parts and everything.

p.s. I just took a look at your map, and it seems you guys need to spend a little more time out west. We'll leave the Christmas lights on for ya here in Utah.

Are you planning on adding HO buildings and people; or you just gonna stick to trains? Like one of those huge tables (like in Beetlejuice). That would be kinda cool =)

billy, the plan lol, is that when we get enough space, the layout will go around the walls and maybe have 2 levels. Yes it will have HO houses and people. I'll have to show you some pictures someday that are in the model trains magazine I get of how much some people fill their layouts to make them look real.
