New Camera Lens

Well, it's a cold gray rainy day here. For some reason I felt like playing with the new lens I got for Christmas. The pictures from outside aren't the greatest, but I thought it would give a hint about how things will look. The first and second pictures are focused on the same area. The first picture is on it's 70mm setting. The second is at 300mm or highest power. The third one is taken indoors and is on the Macro setting, for getting close-ups of small things. It's a close-up of the front of one of my new trains. I'll try to get some better pics in the future.

Note: if you click on the picture of the train, you will be able to see more detail.

The difference between the first two is amazing! Just don't be pointing that thing at the houses off to the left :)

Awesome!

I am still in awe of your ability to put together all those teensy weensy pieces. I would have it flung out the window. I have no patience.

Wow! it is simply amazing how much difference a setting on a lens can make. What fun you can have in this new year with your new toy. Yes...life is Grand.

Have a good one. We have snow everywhere and it would blind you if you used your powerful lens on pictures of it...but they would be beautiful.
