This weeks Heads or Tails meme theme is "explore".
I came up with what I wanted to post on this meme pretty quickly. What came to my mind first was the trips that Barb(Skittles) and I have taken over the years. Usually during our trips we go on little side trips to see things that we either have heard about or seen on the map. Our trips also aren't usually planned to be just a get there and back thing. In other words, our trips are open to "exploring". This leaves us open to seeing and doing almost anything we want. I was going to post some pictures for the meme, but I have already done that in previous posts and it was difficult to just pick a few to put here.
I'll list a few of my favorite places that we have explored instead.
1 Yellowstone National Park
2 Mount Rushmore National Park
3 The Badlands both in N. Dak and S.Dak
4 The New England area. Too many neat places to name just a few.
So, that about does it for this meme. Seeing as Skittles and I have visited 38 states together and seen quite a lot together, I'd say we have "explored" quite a bit. Till next time BYE!!

Those kinds of vacations are great. We do the same thing alot of times.
Happy Exploring
My hubby and I do that too. It's more fun. I remember one trip from Ohio took us twice as long as it should have because we kept stopping to see thing along the way!
just getting in the car and driving is the best vacation! I've been to the Badlands--just beautiful..I love the little town at the bottom--so quaint and beautiful.
I have never been to any of those places, but I'm from Canada.
I have been to Yellowstone and New England but not to the others.
I haven't been much of anywhere. I'm a true homebody.
It sounds like you and Barb have such a wonderful love and friendship! I wish you many, many more years of exploring together.
You and Barb need to explore Bridge Day later this month.
Bridge Day? *Running to check Google..*
And one of the best things about the trips you and Barb have taken is the photos of them you've both shared on your blogs. I almost feel like I've been to those places with you.
Now - when are you coming east again to see Horseshoe Curve anyway?
I love doing that too! As long as it's in New England. That was so interesting abotu your moose hunt: you were in my neighborhood, literally. (Hope you didn't get MY mooses!)
You'll have to stop by next time!
Tell us more about the Badlands. How did they get their name?
C.
