Saturday Photo Hunt
This weeks theme for the Photo Scavenger Hunt is broken. So what is this in the picture you might ask? Well, it's the cartridge from my old turntable that was in storage. I did get a new USB turntable for Christmas and it does have a new cartridge in it, but I thought about using the cartridge from my old turntable on it because it was a better brand than the one it came with. But, when I went to storage to get it, I put the cartridge in my pocket for the ride home and when I got home, I found out it had somehow gotten squished in my pocket and the little teeny arm that holds the needle for it had gotten broken. So, in short I can't use it till I get a replacement. I'll just use the one that came with my turntable till then. Oh, it's really nice to have a good zoom lens with macro so I can take neat pictures like this too.

Good idea for this week's theme!
very good photo! Yeap, that new camera came in handy! Please visit my photo
Amazing how close those macro lenses can get! Sorry to hear you accidentally broke the cartridge, though!
sorry it broke! great photo for the theme tho. take care :)
USB turntables? For playing vinyl disks? I never even heard of these and I should have (even tho I sold all my vinyl years ago). You are sending me off to Google here!
I would never have know what it is, i tried prior to reading, good photo
I am afraid not only to see how my turntable is in storage but how my records are too... it is cliamte controlled so hopefully they will be ok. I too will have to check out what a USB turntable is.
I'm sorry that it broke. I hope you can find a good replacement soon to enjoy the turntable.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. Mine is up too.
Yes the clarity of that picture is awesome. It's amazing what a good camera can do. The photo I used for my hunt this week is one our friends sent us over the net so the clarity to begin with wasn't very good and then the net...
Happy Saturday!
Oh yes, gotta love having the camera for cool close-ups. Sorry about the cartridge being broken... but at least it was an extra and not the only one you had.
